About hayde, terms and privacy

hayde is a hobby project, built for fun by a private individual to help friends pick travel dates. It is not a company, a business or a commercial service. It is free, has no ads, takes no payments and has no user accounts. It is not affiliated with any company, airline, travel agency or booking service.

hayde is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. That includes accuracy, reliability, availability and fitness for any particular purpose. It may contain bugs, change, stop working or be shut down at any time, without notice.

The dates it suggests are only suggestions based on what the people in a trip entered. Always check dates, prices and availability yourself before booking anything.

You use hayde at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the owner is not responsible or liable for any loss, cost or damage arising from using it or relying on it. That includes lost or wrong data, missed or cancelled trips, bookings, payments or disagreements between friends. Nothing here limits any rights you have by law that cannot be excluded.

• The trip name, optional destination, the date window and the names of the people you add.
• The dates each person marks as “love it”, “works” or “can't”.
• The trip access code, if you chose to use one.
• Any feedback you send, including the optional name or contact you write in it, and the page you sent it from.
• Basic technical data that hosting providers keep in their server logs, such as an IP address.

There are no accounts or passwords. hayde does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores a small amount of data on your device only to remember things such as the access code you entered during a visit.

Anyone who has a trip's link and access code can see the names and dates in that trip. Share them only with people you want to include. The owner of the project can see all trips and feedback through an admin page and the database.

Your data is not sold. It is processed by the services that run the app: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database) and Google Fonts (which loads the typefaces and therefore receives your IP address when a page loads). Those services have their own privacy terms.

Don't enter sensitive or confidential information. First names or nicknames are enough. Don't use hayde for anything unlawful, abusive or misleading. Trips or feedback may be removed at any time, and data may be deleted without notice.

If you want a trip or your data deleted, or have a question about this page, write to hello@haydefly.com. Requests will be handled on a best-effort basis, as this is a one-person hobby project. Where privacy law gives you rights over your personal data (such as access or deletion), you can use them the same way.

This page may change as the project changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
